The NRA Concealed Carry Weapon Basic Course is designed for individuals who are considering carrying a pistol for self defense. This class goes in depth into firearms safety, weapon handling, carrying a pistol, drawing from concealment, and factors associated with the decision to carry a concealed weapon.
This is an eight-hour course; however we require proof of completion of NRA Basic Pistol (preferred), NRA Pistol First Steps, or similar courses from another organization. Prior basic knowledge, allows us to save time and cost to the customer, as well as allowing us to focus on greater detail on the advanced material being presented. This course requires the physical ability to draw from a holster, stand for extended periods of time, and sufficient strength to operate the weapon you bring, without assistance.

Equipment requirements:
Pants/shorts with belt loops
Reasonably rigid leather or nylon belt
Holster of quality rigid construction able to be worn on a belt - NO SERPA-STYLE HOLSTERS ALLOWED
At least one belt-worn magazine pouch (two is preferred)
Loose-fitting cover shirt (a button-down works well)
Eye protection
Ear protection (ENR/ANR is preferred but not necessary)
Ball cap or visor
NOTE: The items listed above are required for training consistency, your personal safety and the safety of the class. If you do not comply with the equipment requirements, you will not be allowed to participate in any practical exercises and will not be able to complete the course.
