This is a basic rifle course that provides the student with an overview of rifles of various actions, their uses, operation, safe handling, and basic marksmanship. This course eight hours, including classroom lecture and live fire.

Students will be required to provide their own firearm (in serviceable condition) and 50 rounds of ammunition for this course. Factory ammunition is recommended. Although any common rifle caliber (.22 LR, .223 Remington, .308 WIN, .30-06, etc.) is acceptable, .22 Caliber rifles are preferred for this basic course. Pistol caliber carbines are also acceptable.
